On the 22nd of October I had the privilege to travel
to Disneyland
with an amazing organization called Dreams Take Flight.
Little
did I know that morning that my life would be changed forever…
Dreams Take Flight is a national non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing the trip-of-a-lifetime to sick, physically, mentally or socially challenged children.
Today’s society is so consumed with fame and fortune that it’s rare for people to take a step back and really look at the things that truly matter.
These kids have nothing and are some of the most grateful children you will ever meet.
It’s sad that it usually takes a huge event in one’s life to really step back and look at their life and the blessings they receive everyday.
An experience such as this not only humbles one but opens your eyes to
realize that the world doesn’t revolve around the rich and the famous, but the
individuals that help one another out and work together.
I would say forget about the past,
but the past is what builds you.
Living through your life is a blessing to the privileged.
Humble yourself everyday.
